I believe that more than anyone else or any group The Dempseys pay the greatest
tribute to "The Hillbilly Cat & The Blue Moon Boys" by performing
the music that they love with their own heart and soul. When one of them is
walking through the house at E.P's Memphis playing the drums on tables, glasses
and customers or if they're in their pyramid formation, mounted on the doghouse
bass fiddle or if they're doubling up on the same two-headed guitar, they're
keeping alive the primitive spirit that gave birth to Rockabilly. To have experienced
their camaraderie and to have gone through the creative process of building
a song from the ground up with them was an enriching artistic moment for everyone
involved with this production and you can bet that this won't be the last time
that you hear from us in the studio or on stage together.
